The story is the same in the UK in as much as Apple Stores are the only place with any stock of the things. A fact that is highly frustrating to the iPhone 1.0 owners as the Apple Stores are only doing NEW contracts, existing customers have to get upgraded at an O2 store and they are experiencing the same supply drought as your AT&T stores.

However, after the first day of brisk business you can pretty much walk in and get one off the street in a few minutes here. It’s surprising how many people over there seem to have been holding off for 2.0.

Actually, I think Brideshead Revisited is better than Atonement by at least 300% and I mean that quite seriously, it’s understated and outstanding, but in all reality the studio is probably releasing the film so early (Oscar contenders generally release late in the fall) because it thinks another of their films has a better shot at winning them a statuette, and that’s a shame, because Brideshead is so good, but difficult, dramatic stories like this only get seen if they win awards, so boo on Miramax. And go see this film!

I saw this on opening day and I really enjoyed it :) As you said/implied, I don’t watch those types of movies for an overly profound movie-going experience. Just go because it’s fun and it didn’t disappoint! Though, if I were to compare it to IJ and the last crusade, it wouldn’t fair so well…

While we were watching the movie, I nudged my husband and said, “You know the people at Universal Studios can’t wait to get started on the ride for this.” And that was just in the first sequence.

It will make a fun amusement park ride, though. :)
