I would love to have a Mr. Bento, too. I have two crock pots, one little one like yours, and one that has a rack in which I can (in theory) roast a whole chicken. It might be bigger than what you'd like; but I will say that it has come in handy more than once because it's not TOO obnoxiously large, it's oval-shaped and has lots of settings. And I have a whole cook book of crock-pot recipes. Let's talk. :)

Check out my friend Alison's blog (pennythoughts.wordpress.com) for great whole grain recipes. There's one for crock-pot quinoa that Alison absolutely loves.

I have a crockpot that holds about 4 quarts: big enough for a chicken or small roast, but not overwhelmingly huge for just the 2-3 of us. I don't use it as much in the summer, but it sure gets a workout in the cooler months when we're eating more stews and soups.

I tend to cook big and then have what my mom calls "planned-overs". <a href="http://www.wisebread.com/one-pot-roast-a-week-of-cheap-and-delicious-lunches" rel="nofollow">This</a> is the general idea.
