		<description>My first chapter books were the "Betsy books", but shortly after were all the ones you mentioned and i had the same peculiar gaps in my reading list. In fact I just read Lord of the Flies a few months ago though everyone I know read it in highschool. Ditto on Catcher in the Rye, but I loved all of Salinger's other works. Of Mice and Men will be the next one crossed off the modern-classics-to-read list.</description>

i haaaated little house on the praire. talk about lack of drama. never finished any books in the series.
i liked lord of the flies, but i didn't "agree" with what i thought the author was saying (if it is possible to "disagree" with a story, or know what he was saying...). 
i'll post mine tomorrow probably. i have a rule that i break often: no more than a post a day.</description>
